Narasimhan (Nat) P. Kannan
Founder, Chairman of the Board and CEO
Mr. Kannan has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of VCampus since he founded the Company in 1994 and returned as CEO in 2002. Prior to founding the Company, he founded IMSATT Corporation in 1984 and co-founded Ganesa Group, Inc., a developer of interactive graphics and modeling software, in 1981. He also served as a consultant to Booz Allen and Hamilton, Inc., the MITRE Corporation, The Ministry of Industry of the French Government, the Brookhaven and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, the White House Domestic Policy Committee on Energy and Control Data Corporation. He holds a B.S. in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Madras, India, and he performed advanced graduate work in business and engineering at Dartmouth College.
Lindsay H. Miller III
Senior Vice President and General Manager
With the acquisition of Prosoft Learning by VCampus, Mr. Miller was promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of the newly acquired organization. He is responsible for managing all aspects of that business within VCampus including the offices in Ireland and China and the partnership in Japan. Prior to the acquisition Mr. Miller had held positions of increasing responsibility including Vice President of Operations and CIO.
Mr. Miller has over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, operations and strategic planning. In addition to owning and operating a successful electronics business for 10 years, he has worked for diverse organizations including Xerox, General Instrument and Gould, Inc. Mr. Miller earned a B.S. in mathematics from Bradley University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society and past Chair Person of the Phoenix CIO Council.
Ronald E. Freedman
Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing
Since joining the company in 2000, Ron Freedman has been responsible for all sales and marketing initiatives at VCampus. In addition, Mr. Freedman is responsible for the company's Select PartnerTM Program. Under Mr. Freedman's leadership, VCampus has developed and implemented state-of-the-art e-Learning solutions for a large number of corporations, government agencies, associations and institutions of higher education.
Mr. Freedman has more than 20 years of hands-on experience in sales management, strategic planning, business development, and execution of profit and loss responsibility. Mr. Freedman joined VCampus from USinternetworking, Inc. (USi) where he was Vice President of Information Assurance and Chief Security Officer. While at USi, he was responsible for the design, implementation, and management of the USi Total Security Architecture, a best-of-breed security portfolio. Prior to joining USi, Freedman was Vice President of The Netplex Group, Inc. There, he was responsible for sales, marketing and fulfillment of a wide range of technology-based products and services. Previously, Mr. Freedman was Vice President, Systems and Services for COMSIS Corporation, where he managed the division of the professional services company providing contingency planning and information security services to commercial and government clients. He also served as Executive Vice President of Advanced Information Management, Inc., where he was responsible for marketing and delivering information security and contingency planning services to Fortune 500 clients and where he was instrumental in tripling the company's revenues in four years.
Mr. Freedman worked for General Electric Company for fifteen years, most recently as General Manager, Disaster Recovery Services and Manager, Strategic Planning and Business Development. He also served as a Presidential appointee, on loan to The White House from General Electric, responsible for developing contingency plans as part of the federal government's Continuity of Government Program. He received a Presidential Commendation for outstanding service during that assignment. Mr. Freedman received a BA in Economics from Northeastern University in Boston and an MBA in Management from Babson College in Wellesley, MA.
James Stanger, Ph.D.
Chief Certification Architect
Dr. Stanger is the primary visionary, evangelist and developer for the CIW, CTP and CCNT certifications. His wide range of expertise includes certification development, curriculum design, Web design, British Romantic literature, network security auditing, literary theory, and Linux system administration. He is also an award-winning writer.
Since joining Prosoft Learning Corporation as an editor in 1997, he has worked as a writer (1998), Director of Certification and Product Development (2002), and Vice President of Certification (2003). He was promoted to Chief Certification Architect for VCampus in June 2006. Before 1997, Dr. Stanger taught English literature, rhetoric and composition at the University of California Riverside, the University of Redlands, and Crafton Hills College. He received his B.A. and M.A. from Brigham Young University and his Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside.
Over the years he has designed certifications and curriculum for Symantec, IBM, CompTIA, and the Telephony Industry Association (TIA). Currently, he is Chair of the Linux Professional Institute (LPI) Advisory Council and sits on CompTIA's Network+ Advisory Committee.
Dr. Stanger works closely with executives, Web designers, developers and telephony convergence experts from organizations such as American Express, the University of Paisley, Pellissippi State, Avaya, and Inter-tel. His business development activities with academic and corporate partners exploit the advances made by traditional education and implement the latest advances in Web-based technologies and social networking.
Todd Hopkins
Vice President, Publishing
Todd Hopkins is responsible for all online and print development for VCampus. This includes maintaining the CIW and CTP curriculum libraries, as well as building courseware and online campuses for Select Partners such as IMA, CFA and ISACA.
Mr. Hopkins joined Prosoft Learning Corporation's Research & Development department in 2001 as the Project Manager for CIW and CTP instructor-led courseware development. He also served as Senior Project Manager for the R&D department (2002), Product Development Department Manager (2003), and Director of Product Development (2005), working to maintain Prosoft's large IT courseware library. Under Hopkins' direction, Prosoft released several updates for CIW, CTP, Microsoft Office Specialist, CompTIA, LPI and other certification courses. Mr. Hopkins was named Vice President, Publishing, in 2007. He continues to direct development of Prosoft's IT courseware and also manages VCampus' online development team, effectively combining technologies, processes and intellectual property for the company.
Mr. Hopkins has over 20 years' experience managing production teams in a variety of industries. Prior to joining the company, he worked as Operations Manager for a Southern California Hewlett Packard Dealer managing the service department and toner-cartridge production department, as well as planning, selling, installing and maintaining customer networks. He received a degree in Business Administration from Ricks College (now Brigham Young University - Idaho), and completed further courses in Business Administration and Computer Science at California State University San Bernardino. He enjoys spending his free time with his family and performing community service. He has mentored Boy Scouts on the trail to earning their Eagle rank for 10 years.
Anne Marie Pascoe
Vice President, Strategic Partnerships
As Vice President, Strategic Partnerships, Ms. Pascoe is responsible for the management of all VCampus Select Partner® relationships as well as the development and growth of all Select Partner projects. This includes overseeing all certification training and professional education program development efforts for partners such as IMA, CFA, (ISC)2 and ISACA.
Ms. Pascoe joined VCampus in 2003 as Marketing Manager working with Select Partners to create comprehensive marketing programs designed to increase online course revenues. She was also responsible for VCampus corporate marketing initiatives, including the launch of a new corporate Web site and collateral system, search engine marketing program and public relations activities.
Ms. Pascoe's 13 years of technology industry experience spans a variety of disciplines, including strategic planning, account management, marketing strategy, content development, Web site development, public relations, budgeting and direct marketing.
Prior to joining VCampus, Ms. Pascoe held marketing leadership positions for a variety of emerging and established organizations including ApplyYourself, Inc., Proxicom and MainControl in Northern Virginia, and The Polk Company in Detroit. She holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Michigan.

Edson D. deCastro
Edson D. deCastro has been a director since 1994. From June 1995 to January 1997 Mr. deCastro served as Chief Executive Officer of Xenometrix, Inc. and served as its Chairman from 1992 until November 1997. Mr. deCastro was the founder of Data General Corporation and served as its Chief Executive Officer from 1968 to 1990. From January 1990 to June 1995, Mr. deCastro was an independent contractor. Mr. deCastro now works as a consultant. Mr. deCastro also serves on the boards of directors of Avax Technologies, Inc., Eprise Corp. and Healthgate Data Corp., all public companies, and of several private early-stage technology companies. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Lowell.
John Birdsong
John Birdsong is a co-founder of VCampus and served as its first Chief Financial officer. Prior to VCampus, he co-founded Centaur Corporation and sold the company to A. T. Kearney, Inc. He has served as a Chief Financial Officer for Miranda Associates. He was elected to VCampus' Board of Directors in the 2006. He is an experienced entrepreneur, executive, and a financial advisor to a number of corporations. He received his undergraduate degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Georgia Institute of technology and holds an MBA from Harvard University Graduate School of Business.
